Hello! I am Emily Reitz and am excited to be filling in as the long-term sub for the agriculture education and FFA program at Bishop Neumann. I grew up in northeastern Colorado, in the small town of Eaton. I have one older brother and a soon-to-be sister-in-law that still live in Colorado, along with my parents. I grew up in the farming community and was active in my high school’s agriculture education and FFA chapter, which led me to pursue a career in ag ed. I graduated from UNL in May of 2022 with my Bachelors in agriculture education and a minor in animal science. Initially, I did not plan on teaching and actually took the LSAT and attended UNL College of Law for a whole 2 days this past August. I quickly realized that my heart and calling was in teaching and began the search to get back in the classroom and surround myself with students. It has been such a blessing to have stumbled upon this unique opportunity at Neumann and I am eager to get to know the students and staff here, as well as get involved in the community at Neumann and in Wahoo. Please feel free to reach out to me at Emily-Reitz@cdolinc.net any time with any questions or suggestions you may have regarding our programs. I look forward to meeting all of you!
