Dear Parents of Students in the Classes of 2026 and 2027,
We’re excited to share the continuation of a generous scholarship opportunity made possible by Tom and Rhona Peed through the Lincoln Diocese. To help keep tuition affordable and reward students for their hard work, the Work Ethic Grant will again be offered to students entering their junior and senior years this fall at any Lincoln Diocesan high school.
Eligible students may receive up to $1,000, applied directly to their tuition. The grant is calculated at $5 per hour for qualifying work completed between May 1 and August 15, 2025, with a maximum of 200 hours.
Qualifying work includes part-time jobs, as well as unpaid or self-employed work such as family farming, lawn care, or other personal business efforts. If tuition is already paid in full before the grant is applied, a reimbursement will be issued.
Please note:
- This grant is separate from other diocesan scholarships.
- No application is required through FACTS.
- To apply, complete the attached application form and spreadsheet (signed by both student and parent) and submit them by Friday, August 25.
- Submit materials in person to Ryan Mascarello or via email at ryan-mascarell
- The school will credit your account once the Diocese receives the grant check.
Any junior or senior at our diocesan schools may take advantage of this opportunity. You do not need to apply until your work is complete. No additional proof of hours is required—students and parents are trusted to report hours honestly.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Development Office. Lastly, our school has been one of the lowest in overall participation but one of the highest in awards per student. We encourage you to have all of your students participate this year.
We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Peed—please join us in lifting a prayer of thanks on behalf of all our families.
God bless,
Bishop Neumann Administration
