Work Ethic Grant – Juniors and Seniors

Junior and Senior Parents or Guardians,

We are excited to be able to share with you the continuation of a generous scholarship being offered through the Lincoln Diocese.  In an effort to help keep tuition affordable and to reward students who work hard, Tom and Rhona Peed have offered to continue the Work Ethic Grant program for students starting their junior and senior years this fall at any Lincoln Diocesan High School.

Eligible students will receive a grant of up to $1,000 that will be applied to their tuition.   The grant will be calculated based on the number of hours a student has worked between May 1st and August 15th of this year.

Students will receive a $5 per hour credit with a maximum of 200 hours.

Qualified work includes part-time jobs as well as those types of work where no typical paycheck is received such as family farms, self-employment, mowing lawns, etc.  The work must be completed between May 1, 2024 and August 15, 2024.   If a family has already paid their tuition in full prior to the completion of the program, reimbursement or reallocation can be issued.

This is separate from other scholarships provided by the diocese.  There is NO NEED to fill out anything in FACTS.  Simply complete the attached Application Form (with signatures from both student and parent) and spreadsheet before Monday, August 26th.

Once your application and completed spreadsheet are received, the school will credit your account once reimbursement from the Diocese is received.  Any junior or senior at our diocesan schools may take advantage of this opportunity.  You do not need to submit the application until your work is complete.  No further proof of hours is required; students and parents are expected to honestly report the hours worked.

Please feel free to contact Ryan Mascarello in the Development Office with any questions you may have.  Thank you for your consideration.  This is truly a wonderful opportunity for our families.
Please join us in lifting a prayer of gratitude for the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Peed.

If your hours worked are service in nature, don’t forget to enter them into our new portal as well here!
