Elizabeth “Ellie” Sabata was the daughter of Bob and Becky Sabata, and was born on November 1, 1984. Ellie was one of four children, along with three brothers, Matt, Seth, and Ethan. She participated in girls basketball, volleyball, track, band, and T.O.R.C.H. Club (Touching Others and Responding with Christian Help). Ellie, a high school sophomore, died on January 15, 2001 as a result of an automobile accident.

In memory of Ellie, a scholarship fund was established to benefit a qualifying Bishop Neumann student, totaling $900 for tuition assistance each year. To apply, print off the application and return it to the Bishop Neumann Business Office by June 30.
