Head Football Coach & PE Teacher Resignation

Bishop Neumann Head Football Coach and PE Teacher Resignation

It is with sadness that Bishop Neumann High School announces the resignation of Head Football Coach and PE Teacher Jordan Roberts at the end of this school year. After deep prayer and discernment, Coach Roberts and his family have made the difficult decision to step away from his role to focus on their daughter, Anna Grace, who requires specialized therapy and medical care.

“For the past three years, Coach Roberts has been more than just a coach—he has been a mentor, a role model, and a leader who poured his heart into our student-athletes and school community,” said Fr. Steve Mills. “His faith, dedication, and love for our students will leave a lasting impact. While we are saddened by his departure, we fully support his decision to prioritize his family.”

Coach Roberts shared that while stepping away is difficult, his primary focus is ensuring the best possible care for Anna Grace. “This was an incredibly tough decision, as we had every intention of being here long-term,” he said. “There are so many great things about Bishop Neumann, and I will be forever grateful for the relationships built here. Please continue to lift up and support one another as well as our students—I know this community will continue to do great things.”

He also asked for continued prayers as his family discerns their next steps. “At this time, we have not yet made a decision regarding my future employment,” he added.

We are deeply grateful for Coach Roberts’ time at Bishop Neumann and ask our Cavalier family to keep him, his wife, and their children, especially Anna Grace, in their prayers during this transition.

Details regarding the future leadership of the football program will be announced in the coming months.
