Canvas is a tool teachers use to post assignments, tests, notes, and announcements. Each teacher at Bishop Neumann uses the system differently and to varying degrees.
How do I sign up for a Canvas account as a parent? – Instructure Community
You will need a pairing code to access your student’s Canvas account. Because Canvas is primarily designed for colleges, this is currently the only way to access your student’s information. Ask your student to generate a pairing code for you; the code will expire after seven days.

At the end of the school day, students parked in the south lot should exit south onto Linden Street, while students parked in the west lot should exit west through the alley to Broadway Street. The only vehicles permitted to travel north on Linden Street during dismissal are school buses. Once the buses have departed, all traffic may resume normal travel in any direction.
Please refer to the attached parking map for additional guidance.

Bishop Neumann High School does not have a designated drop-off and pick-up line for students who are not driving themselves or riding the bus. Families may drop students off along Linden Street or pull into the south parking lot to allow students to exit the vehicle.
Please be aware that morning traffic can become very congested. Use caution, and remind your student to be aware of their surroundings, especially if they need to cross a street.
For the safest drop-off option, we recommend approaching the school by traveling south on Elm Street east of the school, turning west onto C Street, and then heading north onto Linden Street. This route allows students to enter the building without needing to cross the street.
We encourage parents or transportation arranged by parents to park in the south or west parking lots and communicate with their student ahead of time regarding the pick-up location.
Please do not park along any of the surrounding streets, as this can create congestion and safety concerns. Additional parking is also available north of the school near the convent.

No. Transportation is provided by Bishop Neumann for all school-sponsored away activities and athletic events.
Please note that transportation may not be provided for some home events held at off-campus locations, such as Hackberry Park, since these are considered home venues rather than away events. Coaches or activity sponsors will communicate any transportation arrangements for these events in advance.
No. Bus transportation is not provided for practices held at Bishop Neumann or other Saunders Catholic Schools facilities for Bishop Neumann activities or athletics. Bus transportation is available only immediately after school and for travel to and from away activities and athletic events.

Service Hour Program
Service Hour Tracking Update for 2026-27
Parents and Guardians,
After 2 years of using the online “Track it Forward” program to enter service hours, we have decided to move away from this program. Beginning this summer, as students begin to track service hours, we will go back to a paper copy to be turned in to the main office or the Campus Ministry office. This decision was made because we experienced many glitches in the online program, it was costly, and it was not very user-friendly.
Students may begin working on service hours for the 2026-27 school year on May 16th. These forms can be scanned and emailed to gery-kenney@cdolinc.net or dropped off at the school office over the summer. The form is attached for your convenience; please print and use it. Students will also be given a paper copy before the school year ends.
I am also attaching the document from our student handbook that has been updated for the coming year.
As in the past, students are required to complete 15 service hours each year, with 5 of those hours being outside of Bishop Neumann. Examples of acceptable service opportunities are included in the attachment.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I spoke to the students in each religion class last week to share this same information.
In Christ,
Gery Kenney
Campus Minister
Based on early feedback, there was continued interest in a digital option for submitting service hours. We have implemented the form below for electronic submissions. Thank you.
