A unique Catholic identity makes Saunders Catholic Schools “schools for the human person” and allows them to fill a critical role in the future of the Catholic Church, our country, and our world by forming disciples of Christ. By offering spiritual development, ministry programs, religious formation, and education programs, to our students and communities, we can live out our Catholic faith in all areas of our lives.
Purpose
The Ministry Team consists of students who seek to model Jesus by serving their peers and deepening the faith life at Bishop Neumann. Each member is expected to actively live their faith life through prayer and the sacraments, while representing Christ in and outside of the classroom.Students attend monthly meetings that are followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. They help plan ministry events such as retreats, masses, stations, Jr. High Bible Study and Adoration. These students are also actively involved with the student mission trips.

Spiritual Direction
We offer spiritual direction to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The goal of spiritual direction is to help students recognize how the Holy Spirit is working in their lives. The emphasis is deepening one’s relationship, not with the spiritual director but with God, by developing an active and vital prayer life. While spiritual director can and should offer advice each person is free to make his or her own decisions and choices. Students meet once a month with either a priest, religious or trained faculty member.
