The Jerry Specht Scholarship Honoring the Specht Family’s Commitment to Catholic Education
Jerry (Gerald) Specht is a 1966 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School. He and his wife (Mary Knuth Specht ’66) have four children, all of them Bishop Neumann Alumni. Jerry and Mary’s grandchildren are third generation Bishop Neumann graduates. Jerry’s lifelong commitment to Catholic education and Saunders County Catholic Schools is shared through this scholarship.
Scholarship Guidelines:
– Requires completed application. Handwritten applications will not be considered.
– Awarded annually to a graduating senior
– 1 or 2 scholarships valued up to $2500
– Available for 2nd quarter/2nd semester of freshman year in college– Recipient must maintain full–time status (according to college policy) and a GPA of 2.5
– Funds disbursed upon submission of 1st quarter/1st semester grades and evidence of continued full–time enrollment to the Bishop Neumann Guidance Office.
Selection process:
– Application submitted to the Guidance office by March 1st
– Family to approve final scholarship recipients
