Bishop Neumann hosts Neumann FIRE

More than 75 high school students attended the “Neumann FIRE Come Holy Spirit” event held at Bishop Neumann High School on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Students enjoyed music provided by Barb Bohaty, mother of senior Zoey Bohaty. This was followed by Neumann alumni speaker Kyle Bartek (’08). Kyle spoke on Gods mercy and the importance of having a personal prayer life and relationship with Jesus. Students were then part of the Eucharistic Procession throughout the school while singing the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Seven priests also attended the event to hear confession, followed by Adoration and music.

Neumann Fire serves the Bishop Neumann family by providing avenues for a deeper faith life and a burning love for Jesus Christ. The “Neumann FIRE Come Holy Spirit” monthly event has replaced the monthly Campus Ministry meetings. It is not just a name change, but a new and exciting event at Neumann for grades 9 -12!

Neumann has partnered with Aquinas High School in David City. Each month they alternate events between the different schools. Neumann FIRE meets once a month on Sunday evenings.  It is a new, fun and exciting way for high school students to encounter Jesus and meet new friends from other schools. Every meeting includes music, adoration, confession and a speaker that discusses some aspect of the Catholic faith. All high school students are welcome and encouraged to attend the 3rd Aquinas FIRE “Come Holy Spirit” event, November 4. No RSVP is required.
