Do you like to write? Seniors, do you want to win a scholarship for your writing? Any students interested in entering the Scholastic Writing Awards competition should come and talk to Mrs. Grady about opportunities to enter. Stop by sometime this week, the deadline to enter is in December.

Service Hour Opportunities – Saturday, October 21st, St. Gregory the Great Seminary is excited to invite anyone to come and help replant trees on their property after the damaging hail storm from the summer of 2022.  All our welcome and high school students can earn service hours.  St. James in Mead is in need of student volunteers to help with their pancake feed Sunday, November 5th from 7:30-12:00 and from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with cleanup.  Please contact:  Melanie Climer at 402-250-3437 if you can help.

Bishop Neumann Speech Team: Friday, 10/20, we will be having our start of the year informational meeting! The meeting will be before school at 7:30, in the Neumann Library! All students interested in the speech team should attend. Come to meet your coaches and find out more about the speech team! Want to join, but unable to make either meeting? Reach out to Ms. Hain in the Library, or email amy-reisen@cdolinc.net for more information!

Students for Life ‘pro-life’ t-shirts can be ordered at Rivalry!

The LEAD team is sponsoring a Halloween fun night for the junior high!
When: Saturday, October 28th, 7:30pm – 9:30pm (Doors will open at 7:15pm and close at 7:30pm)
Where: Bishop Neumann Gym – use the doors in the cafeteria by the concession stand.
What: Dodgeball tournament, fun competitions, dancing, and prizes!
Who: Only Bishop Neumann students may attend
Cost: $2 if you wear a Halloween costume, $3 if you wear jeans
Dress Code: Students who wear a costume should dress modestly and appropriately.  Students who do not wear a costume must wear jeans following the rules in the hand book for jean days.
Other: Bring extra money to purchase ice cream and drinks; Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes!

Once you have signed in at the dance you will only be able to leave before the end of the dance if you are picked up by your parents.  No phone calls or notes from parents are accepted as permission to leave the dance early.  All students must list a parent’s phone number in case of emergencies.  Make sure you have transportation arranged following the dance.

Students who plan to take the December 9 ACT test, the deadline to register is Nov 3rd
